Moviola : Moviola is a linear editing machine for motion pictures. It is the first machine for movie (cinema) editing table. It was invented by Iwan Serrurier in 1924.
Moviola company was sold by Iwan Serrurier's son Mark Serrurier 1966 to Magnasync Corporation of North Hollywood for $3 million. The new name was Magnasync/Moviola Corporation & President was Mr. L. S. Wayman.
Mr. Wayman sold Moviola Company to J & R Film Co. in 1984. Moviola is still operating in Hollywood.
