Linear Editing Machine 'Moviola' - Film Movie Cinema Editing Machine/Table

Moviola : Moviola is a linear editing machine for motion pictures. It is the first machine for movie (cinema) editing table. It was invented by Iwan Serrurier in 1924.

Moviola company was sold by Iwan Serrurier's son Mark Serrurier 1966 to Magnasync Corporation of North Hollywood for $3 million. The new name was Magnasync/Moviola Corporation & President was Mr. L. S. Wayman.

Mr. Wayman sold Moviola Company to J & R Film Co. in 1984. Moviola is still operating in Hollywood.

Steenbeck Linear Editing Machine - Film Movie Cinema Editing Machine/Table

Steenbeck is a company manfuturing editing machines for motion picture editing.The company was founded by Wilhelm Steenbeck in 1931 (Hamburg, Germany).The System is avillable in controlling and viewing for 16mm and 35mm optical sound and magnetic sound film. Steenbeck is a linear editing machine/table for editing movies/film/cinema. The company is relocated to the Netherlands in September 2003 & there they are still manufacturing the editing table.
